What We Believe

Doctrinal Statement

These are not borrowed convictions. They are the theological bedrock on which Fashionista Studios was founded — shaping how we teach, how we treat people, and what we believe the creative arts are ultimately for.

Every school, studio, and organization is built on something. At Fashionista Studios, we are built on the truth of Scripture and the person of Jesus Christ. The following statements are our own — written not to impress theologians, but to be honest with every student, parent, and partner about exactly where we stand and why it matters to everything we do.

01

One God, Three Persons

Fashionista Studios stands on the conviction that there is one God — without beginning, without end, beyond the reach of human imagination, yet intimately present in the world He made. This God is not a solitary being but has existed from eternity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: three real and distinct persons, yet one in nature, one in purpose, and one in glory. We do not worship three gods, nor do we worship a God who merely wears three different masks. We worship the living God who is, in His very being, a community of love — and who created us to know Him.

Deuteronomy 6:4Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Matthew 28:19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 13:14The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
02

God the Father

We hold that the Father is the first person of the Trinity — not first in rank or importance, but first in the eternal order of divine relationship. The Son has His origin in the Father; the Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son together. The Father is the one who conceived creation, who speaks truth into the world through revelation, who authored the great story of redemption, and who holds every moment of history in His hands. He is not a distant deity watching from afar — He is the sovereign and personal God who knows the end from the beginning and works all things according to His good purpose.

Isaiah 46:9–10I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done.
Romans 8:28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
03

Jesus Christ, Fully God and Fully Man

We confess that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God — not a created being, not a great moral teacher, not a divine idea made flesh, but the second person of the Trinity who has always been God. At a specific moment in history, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin named Mary, entering our world as a real human being without surrendering a single attribute of His divinity. He walked among us as one who was completely human and completely God at the same time — not a mixture of the two, but both in full. He obeyed where we failed, died the death we deserved, rose from the grave in a real body, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. He is not a figure of the past. He is alive.

John 1:1, 14In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
Colossians 2:9For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily.
Hebrews 13:8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
04

The Holy Spirit

We affirm that the Holy Spirit is not a force or an influence — He is a person, the third member of the Trinity, fully God in every sense. He was present and active at the very dawn of creation. He moved through human authors to give us the Scriptures. He is the one who opens blind eyes to the truth of the Gospel and brings dead souls to life. He holds back the full expression of evil in the world. And when a person places their trust in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit takes up residence within them — not temporarily, not conditionally, but permanently — working patiently and powerfully to transform them from the inside out into the image of Christ.

Genesis 1:2The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
John 16:13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.
1 Corinthians 6:19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?
05

Creation

We believe that the world did not make itself. God spoke, and it came into being — the universe, the earth, every living thing — created across six real days of history and sustained moment by moment by His power ever since. The cosmos is not an accident; it is a declaration of God's glory and a canvas for His truth. Among His creatures, God also made angelic beings to serve Him, though a number of them — led by Satan — chose rebellion and became agents of evil in the world. Most significantly, God made human beings in a category entirely their own: not evolved from lower life forms, but directly fashioned in His image, each person created either male or female from conception. That image-bearing dignity is the source of human worth, and the responsibility it carries — to know God, to govern ourselves rightly, and to steward His creation well — belongs to every one of us.

Genesis 1:1In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Psalm 19:1The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
06

The Bible

We hold that the Bible is unlike any other book ever written — not because of its age or its literary beauty, but because it is the Word of God. Real human beings wrote it, in their own languages, out of their own histories and personalities. But the process was guided by God so completely that what they wrote is precisely what He intended: true, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible speaks with final authority on everything it addresses. It is not the private property of scholars or clergy — it is given to all of God's people, made understandable through the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit, and interpreted by reading each passage in its plain, natural meaning within its historical and literary setting, always allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture.

2 Timothy 3:16–17All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:21For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 119:105Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
07

Sin and Its Consequences

We acknowledge that something went terribly wrong at the beginning of human history. Adam, the first man, was not deceived — he chose, with full awareness, to disobey God. That single act of willful rebellion fractured the relationship between humanity and its Creator, introduced death into the world, and passed a corrupted nature down to every person who has ever lived. We are not sinners because we sin; we sin because we are sinners by nature. Every person enters the world already turned away from God, and every act of wrongdoing we commit confirms it. The consequence is not arbitrary — a holy God cannot simply overlook what is genuinely evil. Every person, apart from Christ, stands under His just condemnation and faces an eternity separated from Him.

Romans 3:23For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:12Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.
Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
08

What Christ Accomplished

We believe that the death of Jesus Christ was not a tragedy that God redeemed after the fact — it was the plan from before the foundation of the world. The Father appointed the Son; the Son came willingly. He lived among us without a single failure of obedience, fulfilling every demand of God's law that we could never meet. Then He went to the cross and absorbed, in our place, the full weight of divine judgment for human sin — not symbolically, but actually, as our substitute. He was buried. Three days later, He walked out of the tomb in a physical, bodily resurrection — a historical event witnessed by hundreds. He ascended to heaven, where He now stands before the Father on behalf of every person who has trusted in Him.

Isaiah 53:5But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
1 Corinthians 15:3–4Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
Hebrews 7:25He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
09

How a Person Is Saved

We believe that salvation is available to every person, but it comes through one door and one door only: Jesus Christ. No amount of religious effort, moral improvement, family heritage, or sincere intention can earn a right standing before God. Salvation is received — not achieved — by the person who genuinely turns from their sin and places their trust entirely in Jesus as the one who paid for it. When that happens, God does something extraordinary: He declares that person righteous, not on the basis of anything they have done, but on the basis of what Christ has done. The Holy Spirit brings them to new life, reorients their desires away from sin, and seals them with the unshakeable assurance that they belong to God and that heaven is their home.

John 14:6Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'
Ephesians 2:8–9For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Acts 3:19Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.
10

Living as Followers of Christ

We believe that the moment a person is born again, the Holy Spirit takes up residence within them and begins the lifelong work of making them more like Jesus. This is not a process that finishes on this side of eternity — it will be completed only in heaven. But it is real, and it shows. Followers of Christ are called to live in active obedience to God's Word and to pursue a way of life that is visibly shaped by His character. That means cultivating the fruit the Spirit produces: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It means clothing ourselves in compassion, humility, and a readiness to forgive. It means pursuing justice and mercy, especially for those who cannot advocate for themselves. It means recognizing the God-given dignity of every human being from conception to natural death, and treating every person — regardless of background, ethnicity, or origin — as an equal before God and a candidate for His grace. It means embracing the diversity of peoples and cultures as something God designed and delights in. It means honoring the gift of sexuality within the covenant of marriage between one natural-born man and one natural-born woman, and maintaining purity outside of that covenant. It means being people whose word can be trusted, who bear faithful witness to the Gospel, who practice generosity, and who are marked by a life of prayer and gratitude. Fashionista Studios also recognizes that certain behaviors are incompatible with a life surrendered to Christ. These include: the worship of any deity other than the God of the Bible; denying the eternal nature, incarnation, resurrection, or saving work of Jesus Christ; blasphemy against God; participation in occult practices, astrology, fortune-telling, sorcery, or devil worship; the taking of innocent human life; self-identification with a gender other than one's biological sex at birth; sexual or romantic involvement outside of marriage between one natural-born man and one natural-born woman; romantic or sexual relationships between persons of the same sex; prostitution; sexual violence; drunkenness; the habitual use of profanity and vulgarity; injustice toward others; dishonesty in speech or in financial dealings; theft; explosive and uncontrolled anger; and any conduct that violates civil law.

Galatians 5:22–23But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Romans 12:2Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Micah 6:8He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
11

Marriage, Government, and the Church

We believe that God did not leave human society to organize itself by trial and error. He established three institutions — each with a specific design and a specific purpose — that form the backbone of a flourishing society. Marriage, as God defined it, is a lifelong covenant between one natural-born man and one natural-born woman. It exists to bring new life into the world, to raise children in a home where faith is taught and modeled, to give husband and wife the gift of deep and exclusive companionship, and to serve as a living picture of the love between Christ and His church. Civil government exists because God ordained it — to protect the people under its care, to restrain and punish evil, and to honor and reward what is good. The church exists as the full community of everyone who has ever trusted in Jesus Christ, built on the cornerstone of Christ Himself and the foundation of the apostles, and sent into the world to make disciples of every nation through proclamation, baptism, and teaching.

Genesis 2:24Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Romans 13:1Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Matthew 28:19–20Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
12

The Local Church

We believe that the universal church — the whole body of Christ across all times and places — expresses itself most concretely in the local church: a specific gathering of baptized believers in a specific place, committed to living under the authority of Scripture and the lordship of Jesus. Each local church exists to carry out the mission Christ gave His people — to reach the lost with the Gospel, to teach the whole counsel of God's Word, and to practice the two ordinances He instituted: baptism by immersion for those who have believed, and the Lord's Table as a regular remembrance of His death until He returns. Local churches are led by pastors and deacons, govern themselves under Christ's headship, and are equipped for ministry through the spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit gives to every member of the body.

Acts 2:42And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
1 Corinthians 12:27Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
Hebrews 10:25Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
13

The Return of Christ and What Comes After

We believe that history is moving toward a conclusion that God has already written. Jesus Christ will return — personally, visibly, and bodily — and His return is not scheduled for some distant future we need not think about. It is imminent: it could happen at any moment. When He comes, He will bring judgment with Him. The righteous will reign with Him on the earth for a thousand years — a glorious and literal kingdom where Christ rules as King. During that same period, the wicked will face the beginning of their judgment, the full weight of which is an eternity separated from God in the fire that never ends. When the thousand-year reign is complete, that judgment is finalized. And then God does something breathtaking: He creates a New Heaven and a New Earth — not a patched-up version of the old, but something entirely new, unmarked by sin or death or sorrow. The redeemed will dwell there with God forever, in a closeness and a joy that this present life can only gesture toward.

Revelation 20:4They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Revelation 21:1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
Acts 1:11This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.
14

Christ and the Fulfillment of the Law

We believe that Jesus did not come to dismantle the Old Covenant — He came to fulfill it. Every law, every prophecy, every sacrifice, every feast, and every promise written in the Old Testament was pointing forward to Him. He is the thread that runs through the entire story of Scripture, and the New Covenant He established does not replace the Old but brings it to its fullest and most complete expression. The Old Testament is not a relic of a religion God moved on from — it is the foundation upon which the New Testament stands, and the New Testament cannot be rightly understood apart from it. Jesus lived the law perfectly, taught it with authority, and showed us what it looks like when a human being walks in complete alignment with the heart of God. He is not simply our Savior — He is our example, our teacher, and the living demonstration of the path that leads to eternal life.

Matthew 5:17Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Luke 24:44Everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.
Hebrews 8:6But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.
15

The Ten Commandments and the Sabbath

We believe that the fulfillment of the law through Christ is not a license to invent new standards or to quietly set aside what God has commanded. The Ten Commandments are not suggestions — they are the moral backbone of a life lived in covenant with God, and each one carries the full weight of His authority. We take every Commandment seriously, including the Fourth: the Seventh-Day Sabbath. God set apart the seventh day, hallowed it, and called His people to keep it holy — and Jesus, who is our pattern for righteous living, honored it faithfully. We do not believe that the day of rest was changed, relocated, or made optional. The Sabbath is God's holy day, established at creation and reaffirmed throughout Scripture, and we hold it as a gift to be received and observed — not a tradition to be redesigned according to personal preference or cultural convenience.

Exodus 20:8Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Genesis 2:3So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
Luke 4:16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.
16

Living Out Our Gifts with Purpose

We believe that Jesus is not only our Savior — He is the model for how every human being is meant to live on this earth. He did not hide what He carried. He stepped into rooms, touched lives, told the truth, and gave everything He had in service to others. He calls us to do the same. God has placed gifts, talents, and creative abilities in every person — not to be buried out of fear, false humility, or the weight of comparison, but to be developed, offered, and used as instruments of transformation in the lives of others. At Fashionista Studios, we take this seriously. We believe that the creative arts are not a distraction from spiritual life — they are a vehicle for it. When you step into your gifts and pursue your purpose in the name of Jesus, you are not chasing ambition. You are answering a call. God does not want His people to shrink. He wants them to shine — for His glory and for the healing of the world around them.

Matthew 5:16Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
1 Peter 4:10As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
Matthew 25:14–15For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property... to each according to his ability.

Faith That Shapes Everything

These convictions are not a legal disclaimer tucked away on a website — they are the reason Fashionista Studios exists. We believe that creativity is a gift from the God who made a beautiful world, and that those who develop their creative gifts carry a responsibility to use them with integrity, with purpose, and with an awareness that they are made in the image of the most creative Being in the universe.
